Hugging the Shouldertakes the audience on a wild ride through addiction, family and regret on the way to redemption. Derrick attempts to save his brother by trapping him in a van and driving non-stop through Jeremy’s symptoms of withdrawal. Keeping with our site-specific theme, Theater of Thought desires to involve the audience in a full sensory experience. A decent size audience cannot be squeezed into one van, so we have decided to trap every audience member in their own vehicle and create “drive-in theater.” The audience members will view the performance from their own cars while tuning into the audio on their car radios. Actors will be performing live with a live feed of close-ups being projected behind them. The show also involves filmed scenes and plenty of surprises, so buckle up and get ready for the ride of your life. DON'T MISS IT!
